Caregiver
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, including those with dementia and other cognitive impairments. You will assist with daily living activities, promote a positive and nurturing atmosphere, and help maintain the overall well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personalized care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring residents' safety and comfort.
Administer medications according to the care plan and under the supervision of licensed staff.
Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive conditions to the appropriate team members.
Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment for residents.
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and other team members.
Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and rights at all times.
Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure high standards of care.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in caregiving, especially in assisted living or dementia care, is preferred.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
Ability to handle challenging situations with grace and professionalism.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
